This is as good of a topic as any to begin this blog with.    Lately, I have seen some great results getting back into shape.

I worked out religiously when I was younger.  I took the last decade off.   It never got really bad, but I just was not in shape anymore.   My “playing weight” was about 200lb when I was in my early twenties.  Now, in my mid thirties, I found myself about 225lbs and about 30% bodyfat.   I am aproximately 6′2″.

I started doing two things about three months ago.   I started portion control, or calorie counting, whichever way you prefer to look at it.    I stopped drinking cokes and eating french fries.   I started eating whopper jrs instead of whoppers.   Also, I started working out on a small scale.  I purchased the “perfect pushup” and started doing pushups about every other night.  I got some dumbells and started doing curls.

I discovered the secret to weight loss.  Here it is:   Eat less and move around more.   Burn more calories than you take in.    I now weight about 203lbs and have about 23% body fat.

My challenge now is to ramp up the program.   Starting today,  I will ramp up the pushups and curls.
